Huayra-Tata means "God of the Wind" in the Quechua language (South America). Thus also the successor of the Pagani Zonda stands in the sign of the wind. When the Huayra sweeps across the streets, the thought of a fighter jet inevitably comes to mind.
No wonder: The Mercedes-AMG V12 twin turbo engine, specially developed for Huayra, comes amazingly close to the sound of a jet engine. The 700 hp should take the occupants of the passenger cell made of carbon and titanium to top gun-like spheres.
Pagani Huayra R #1 Verde Trifoglio Green Metallic with Black Top and Gold Stripes Global64 Series
$18.49
Pagani is planning a power version of the Huayra for 2016. This is how the Huayra R - presumably the official name - comes in comparison to the series with a larger rear wing and a reworked diffuser.
In terms of engine technology, the team around company boss Horacio Pagani will probably increase the performance of the Twin Turbo V12 to 800 hp. This should bring it up to 60 in well under three seconds, with a top speed of almost 250 mph possible.
