Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, Maserati? Oh what! Anyone who was a big fan in the 1980s drove a Bentley Mulsanne. The sonorous name goes back to the so-called Mulsanne straight in the Le Mans circuit. The Mulsanne has nothing at all to do with sporty curve-robbing, probably more with a dignified country tour including chauffeur. And if the driver had to overtake quickly, the 6.75 liter light alloy V8 offered enough power. At the time, Bentley held back on the number of horses under the bonnet.
If luxury would have a form of increase, it would be called Bentley Mulsanne. After the end of the first generation in 1992, Bentley presented its successor at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance 2009. The 5.58 meter long luxury sedan is visually inspired by the design language of classic Bentley models. A facelift followed in 2016.
